Many of our accessories are available in a variety of decorative finishes such as matte black, pewter, plate antique or polished brass, copper, solid brass, shades of iron, and powder coating.


Glass Doors


Decorative glass doors have advanced greatly in construction quality and style in recent years. Glass doors for your fireplace will not only allow you to go to bed before having to close a damper, they will also work in conjunction with a screen system, effectively preventing potentially dangerous sparks, ashes, and embers from escaping the fireplace.

Wrought Iron Andirons

Andrions


Andirons, sometimes called firedogs, are used to keep firewood off the hearth floor allowing air to circulate beneath the fire. Andirons are L-shaped and have either short shanks (vertical member) or long shanks. Short shanks allow use in front of a traditional grate or gas logs whereas long shanks allow for efficient traditional use.

Fireplace grates support firewood and allow air circulation but tend to be more functional than decorative. Grates should be sized according to the size of the fireplace firebox.

Heatgrates


A heatgrate is a series of hollow tubular steel pipes that acts as a heat exchanger. The addition of a blower assists the circulation of heated air as the fire burns. Blowers are available in a wide range of finishes, designed to match the finish of the recommended glass doors.

Firescreens


A firescreen is designed to prevent flying sparks and embers from invading the living area. Folding screens are hinged and balanced in front of the fireplace. traditionally, a flat screen or standing screen is supported by detachable feet. These may have decorative metal work incorporated in them. A properly sized curtain screen is mounted at the opening of the firebox. The curtain slides in a track system and is opened and closed with a draw pull or manually pulled.

Fireplace Tools


Fireplace tools include shovels for ash removal, hearth brushes, and pokers. Logs may be moved and placed with fireplace tongs. For safety, handles should be a minimum of 28”.


Log carriers can be metal, canvas, leather or polyester and are used to carry firewood into the home and stored on the hearth.


Wood storage racks can be constructed of two by fours and metal corner braces, metal rings of various sizes or metal rectangular frames.
